Deseret Book has been a cornerstone of my design journey. Over the past nine years, I’ve grown not only in confidence but in the depth and versatility of my skills. I’ve created over 2,200 email designs, led multiple homepage redesigns, and played a key role in launching a new, accessibility-focused website. From wireframes and mockups to final deliverables, I’ve seen projects through from start to finish—collaborating across teams and timelines. What you’ll see below is just a glimpse into the wide range of campaigns and creative work I was proud to help bring to life.

Email Design

In the 9 years that I have worked for Deseret Book, I have produced over two thousand email designs for DeseretBook.com marketing. This past year alone, I designed 186 emails. Our email list includes almost one million subscribed customers and brought in thousands of sales daily per email send. Not only did I design for DB.com, but I would occasionally help with mobile platform marketing needs and store print marketing. Below are a taste of some of my favorite email designs from over the years.

Campaigns

Digital advertisements I created for external paid promotions. These ads were shown on LDSLiving, LDSLiving emails, and social media platforms such as Facebook and Instagram.

Come Follow Me Campaign

An email campaign during the holiday time of year. Deseret Book hosted the Nativity Market last year and the email journey was meant to showcase the hundreds of different nativities they sell.

This 3 day event was an internal conference to teach our store managers new skills. Each year there is a new theme and new design to match. For fun, our team would each create our own mood board and present them to the event coordinators as friendly competition.

Website

In 2022, Deseret Book switched platforms and needed a fresh upgrade for their homepage. After meeting with the developer and eCommerce team, we were able to settle on a list of needs and discussed the brand guidelines. I created a wireframe to start and then lead to a mockup of the potential UI of the new homepage. After many rounds of approvals and iterations, the design was settled and implemented on the website and can still be viewed to this day. Since the platform switch, I have been continuously updating the content while also designing a few landing pages as well. But the homepage will always be one of my greatest achievements with Deseret Book.

With the new website now live, we needed a new page for Platinum rewards that included a better experience and up-to-date visuals and content.

For the first time, we decided to make the gift guide print catalog in to a landing page and online only. I headed this project from the beginning with design and implementation. I worked directly with the eCommerce team to create the page with custom CSS to create something we have never done before. The page performed decently with room for improvement.

With the app getting a complete makeover, the marketing materials needed to match the new design to stay cohesive. I redesigned the landing page to match the more minimalist look users will experience in the app.
